Spokesman Says He Didn't Know What Call Was About

MADISON, Wis. -- Gov. Jim Doyle talked to President-elect Barack Obama's transition team, but it wasn't about a job.Doyle spokesman Lee Sensenbrenner said that's what the governor told reporters on Monday in Lac du Flambeau, where he was attending an economic development meeting. Sensenbrenner said that he didn' know what the call with the Obama transition team was about.Sensenbrenner said the governor on Monday reaffirmed earlier comments that he has made that he isn't seeking a position in the Obama administration and is focused on being governor.Doyle is midway through his second term and is widely expected to run for a third term in 2010. He has been raising money for that re-election bid, even though he hasn't officially announced yet.
