Richland Center High School Cancels Classes Friday After Threat

RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. -- Richland School District officials said that classes have been canceled for students at Richland Center High School on Friday due to a bomb threat found at the school.Officials said a bomb threat was found scratched on a bathroom wall at the high school indicating that a person would blow up the school on Friday.Authorities and school personnel are inspecting the building Thursday night and will inspect it on Friday. Officials said all areas of the building will be inspected, and no unauthorized personnel will be allowed in the building.The school district said law enforcement has been contacted and will be assisting in the investigation.School officials said the day will be made up, and that they will announce the makeup procedure at a later date. Friday's cancellation affects high school students only.District officials said they are very concerned about the situation.
