MADISON, Wis. -- Tri-North Builders is holding a green symposium in Madison to share its experience with going green, including the LEED process and how it can help fulfill an organization's goals. The symposium runs April 29 through May 1.Tri-North said that the symposium will benefit management teams looking to better meet goals like being environmentally conscious, appealing to customers, and saving energy and waste, both in construction and operationally.Tri-North said the symposium will show that going green does not have to add extremely high costs to a construction program, and that participants will see specific case studies and the costs associated with green construction. Organizers said that during the day-and-a-half symposium, participants will learn many strategies to accomplish being green or LEED certified at a reasonable cost.
