MADISON, Wis. -- Exercise is one of the best ways to improve one's health. It is also part of the motivation behind the Car-Less University classes in Madison all week. The Madison environmental group's goal is to create awareness of the numerous alternative transportation choices in Madison. The classes highlight programs like community car, busses and bike routes. The previous car-free challenge has adapted and no longer advocates for people to give up their cars, but rather to use them less.
"We really think people are like me and you maybe where they're just trying to do better and so we're just trying to create a support system and some education so people can make better choices," said Car-Less U's Karen Hitchcock. For more information on Car-Less U, visit this Web site.
