MADISON, Wis. -- The battle against breast cancer went behind bars on Monday. The organization Susan G. Komen For The Cure partnered with the Dane County Sheriff's Department to educate women about breast cancer screening methods. The message about breast health was spread to women who are incarcerated at the jail, many of whom do not have health insurance."We want them to take the message as they leave here, back to their neighborhoods, families, friends, their churches, and say what they've learned while they were here, because everybody is partnering with us in this fight," said executive director of the Madison's Komen affiliate Michelle Heitzinger.Breast cancer is the leading cancer among white and African-American women.
