MADISON, Wis. -- St. Mary's Hospital in Madison has launched a Spanish version of its Web site. The goal is to help make health care decisions easier for the more than 20,000 Latinos that call Dane County home. The site offers directions, patient rights and financial assistance information.About one-third of the site is up, but the hospital is working hard to finish the entire site."I think it's very important," said Interpreter Services supervisor Anne Plesh. "It's a great service for our patients and their families. It's a way to help them feel more comfortable when they come here to the hospital and it's just a way for them to further access health care information in their native language."St. Mary's had more than 4,600 requests for interpreter service last year, 83 percent of which were for Spanish interpreters.
