MADISON, Wis. -- Authorities said that a Madison woman accused of driving drunk and hitting a man last month could be facing harsher charges after the victim died.

Tammie Blizzard, 35, was charged with operating while intoxicated and hit-and-run.

Police said the victim in the hit-and-run crash, David Schmidt, 74, died Tuesday from injuries suffered in the crash.

Police said that Schmidt was struck in a well-lit cross walk on North Sherman Avenue while walking home from a Mallard's baseball game.
