MADISON, Wis. -- The ongoing standoff between Charter Cable and the Big Ten Network left Badger fans scrambling to find a place to watch Saturday's game against Ohio State. But while fans fumed, local businesses cashed in, WISC-TV reported.Badger faithful left in the dark over the inability of Charter and the BTN to agree on a distribution deal packed bars and restaurants in the Madison area on Saturday. Many owners said it was the busiest Saturday they've had in quite some time. Many fans' attitude toward the Charter-BTN standoff was summed up by John Bartlett, who watched Saturday's Badger loss at the Old Town Pub."I'd rather come and give one of my local establishments my money, rather than Charter or the Big Ten Network until they can come to some sort of arrangement. It's kind of sad that we can't watch," said Bartlett. Some who left their house to watch the game at a bar commented that they tried to have satellite TV service installed, but couldn't get an appointment in time for today's game.Badger fans' frustration with Charter and the Big Ten Network is likely to only increase, as at least 20 UW men's basketball games will be exclusive to the Big Ten Network this season, WISC-TV reported.
