GM To Temporarily Layoff Some Janesville Workers

Second-Shift Workers To Return To Jobs

UPDATED: 8:28 am CDT March 19, 2008

General Motors officials are reporting more layoffs, including some at Janesville's plant.

Workers on first shift at the Janesville facility will be off next week, but second-shift workers, who had been laid off this week, will be back to work, WISC-TV reported.

Plant officials said that they simply don't have enough parts available with the American Axle strike unresolved.
