Riding The Bus To The Fair

Milwaukee County Transit System

Riding the bus to the state fair is easy, convenient, and economical. To pick the public transportation option that best fits your plans, call the Milwaukee County Transit System at 414-344-6711. or visit www.RideMCTS.com. Remember, children under age 6 ride free at all times.

Freeway Flyers

Park free at any of the following park-ride lots:
  • Brown Deer Rd., west of I-43
  • College Ave. at I-94
  • Loomis Rd. at I-894
  • Green Bay Road just north of Brown Deer Road
  • Southridge on Edgerton at 72nd St.
  • Whitnall/Hales Corners at I-43, east of S. 108th Street

Freeway Flyers operate between 7:30 a.m. until one half-hour after fair closure. Service is every half-hour except at the Brown Deer and Green Bay Park && Ride Lots which have hourly service. Buses will serve the Green Bay Lot every hour at 20 minutes past and the Brown Deer Lot will be served hourly at 30 minutes past the hour.

Round-trip fares are $6 for adults (ages 12 - 64), $3 for children (ages 7-11), seniors (65 abd over) and disabled persons with proper I.D.

Don't forget daily service is available via regular Milwaukee County Transit System routes 18, 67, and 76. Regular bus fares apply.

Shuttle

The shuttle from Watertown Plank Road Park and Ride Lot at Highway 45 operates to the WI State Fair Transit Center near Gate 4 every day of the Fair. Shuttles operate every 15 minutes from 7:30 a.m. to 30 minutes after the fair closes. Shuttle fares are $3 round-trip for adults (12-64) and $1.50 for children (ages 7-11), seniors (65 and over) and disabled persons with a proper I.D. Parking is free.

Washington County Commuter Express

The Washington County Commuter Express will provide daily round-trip motorcoach service to the Wisconsin State Fair, which departs every 30 minutes from Germantown and West Bend. Round-trip fares are free for children (6 and under), $3.25 for children ages 7 - 12 and seniors 65+ and medicare card holders and $6.50 for adults (ages 13-64). Ozaukee County Express

Ozaukee County Express serves State Fair every day of the fair and drops off at Gate 4. Buses leave the Grafton Park and Ride Lot on the hour and leave the Cedarburg Park and Ride Lot at 10 minutes after the hour, every hour, starting at 10 a.m. Buses will leave the fair every hour at 58 minutes past the hour, and the last bus will leave 15 minutes after the fair closes. Round-trip fares are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children (ages 7-11), Seniors (65 and over) and disabled persons with proper I.D.
