PORTAGE, Wis. -- The attorney for a drifter accused of helping kill her roommate last summer said that a probation agent improperly interrogated her.Attorney David Geier claims in court documents that state probation agent David Ford visited Candace Clark in jail in May. Ford told Clark that he was gathering information for a pre-sentence report for Michaela Clerc, another member of Clark's alleged group who pleaded guilty in February to torturing the slain woman's son and stuffing him in a closet.Geier said that Ford didn't read Clark her rights before interrogating her about her role in the case.Geier wants a judge to suppress potential testimony from Ford in Clark's case and place a gag order on him. A judge is expected to consider the request at a hearing on Thursday.
