Richland County Officials Warn Drivers About Flooded Roads
Officials Say Flooding Widespread Across Area

RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. -- Richland County officials have issued a warning to residents not to travel because of significant flooding in the area.Emergency management officials said state Highways 131, 56 and 80 are closed, and residents should avoid them unless it is absolutely necessary. Flood warnings were issued all day on Sunday for much of the area.Officals report that many roads have been washed out or are under water.In Columbus in Columbia County the Highway 60 bridge is closed because of rising water.Marquette County reported that two roads are still closed.Juneau County authorities said flooding continues to be a problem there.Sauk County reported no damage from the storms, but these roads were closed:County Road H, between County Road P and Oakhill, is closed. The bridge on County Highway X, off of County Highway W, is closed. Narrows Creek Durwoods Glen Cobbledick Road West Redstone, between Sect. 11 and the dead end East Redstone/Hopi Court Thomas Road, from White to County Highway K, North Reedsburg Road, between Coon Bluff and Mirror Lake Road Highway 154/Narrows Stout Road, Jessop Road Branton Road Nash Road bridge is out. County Highway G north between Highway 33 -- McGruder Drive (Juneau Co.), Highway 58 --- Jessip Road, south of Lavalle -- detour, northbound Pearson Road to Schuette Road Maple Street -- Rock Springs Halweg Road -- Town of Merrimac In Iowa County, parts of Highway 130 and 133 West were closed because of flooding.Grant County officials reported minimal damage from the storms, but nearly all of Rock County is under standing water from the weekend storms.Stay tuned to WISC-TV and Channel 3000 for continuing coverage.
