    Fair Officials: Don't Buy Tickets From Unauthorized Sources

    WEST ALLIS, Wis. -- A ticket scam has thousands of Wisconsin State Fair fans seeing red.

    More than 3,300 fairgoers unknowingly turned up with fake tickets in hand.

    Fair officials said sellers are selling tickets that have already been scanned for admission. Once a ticket is scanned, it cannot be used again.

    Officials said fairgoers have no way of knowing if the ticket they purchased is a used one.

    They advise people going to the fair to purchase tickets only from an official window or the Wisconsin State Fair Web site.
