Hit-And-Run Suspects Hospitalized

Crash Occurred Monday Evening

POSTED: 1:20 pm CDT August 27, 2008

Two Stoughton men suspected in a hit-and-run on Monday remain hospitalized Wednesday.

Dane County sheriff's officials said Tyler Miller, 19, and Damien Georgeson, 18, were in a Chevy Blazer that rear-ended a Jeep on state Highway 138 near Stoughton at about 8 p.m. Monday.

Authorities said Miller and Georgeson fled the crash scene on foot. Authorities said a deputy and K-9 officer helped locate Miller in a nearby cornfield Monday.

Sheriff's officials said Georgeson was located at a residence in Stoughton Tuesday afternoon. Authorities said Georgeson is being held on an outstanding warrant for two counts of battery.

Both were transported to a hospital for treatment of their injuries. Authorities said both are in stable condition.

Both occupants of the Jeep were wearing their seat belts and were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injures.
