Man Was Killed When Texting In Crosswalk

States around the country are banning text messaging while driving but some are considering taking the ban further.

There's no law against texting while walking, but after a man was killed in a crosswalk while text messaging , the Illinois General Assembly is considering a ban on using wireless devices in crosswalks.

Four states have laws against texting and driving. In the U.S., more than 360 billion text messages are sent each year, WISC-TV reported.
