Two people were killed and three others were injured in a highway collision involving an American Red Cross van in Winnebago County.

Sheriff's officials said the driver of a northbound car lost control on Highway 41 near Neenah and collided with the van about 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities identified the deceased as 15-year-old Hannah Twomey, 15, and James Markham, 19, both from Appleton and both passengers in the car.

Two others in the car, 18-year-olds Megan Wolf and Jamie Schwerin, were taken to Theda Clark Medical Center. Hospital officials said one is in critical condition and the other is in good condition. The driver of the Red Cross van was Courtney L. Jokiel, 27, of Madison. She was treated for injuries and released from Theda Clark.

The van was driven by a staff member from the American Red Cross Badger Chapter and the Red Cross confirmed that the driver was on her way back to Madison from Green Bay.
