Driver Who Allegedly Struck Deputy Arrested Again On Suspicion Of OWI

Horvath Remains In Jail

UPDATED: 5:03 pm CDT August 28, 2008

A Lake Geneva man was arrested early Wednesday for alleged drunken driving.

Kevin W. Horvath, 28, was out on bond from an alleged OWI-related crash, which occurred on Aug. 11.

In the first incident, Horvath allegedly was driving the wrong way on Highway 12 and struck an on-duty sheriff's deputy with his vehicle.

The judge ordered him not to consume alcohol after the first incident.

Horvath was stopped on Highway 12 near Highway 120 in Lyons Township. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for OWI and bail jumping. He also received citations for open intoxicants in a motor vehicle and ordinance possession of marijuana, according to a Walworth County Sheriff's Office news release.
