Feingold Reacts To Another Bad Day On Wall Street

Senator Voted Against Bailout Plan

Sen. Russ Feingold, a Wisconsin Democrat, who voted against the $750 billion bailout plan, reacted on Tuesday to another bad day on Wall Street, as the Dow fell 500 points.

"But the problem is you have got to get the root causes of this and it has to do with the housing market and a whole range of other problems that weren't dealt with in the bill including leveraging, derivatives, these things weren't dealt with. That's one of the reasons I didn't vote for it," said Feingold.

Feingold said he knows this is a lot for the American people to bear and hopes Washington will be awakened and provide new safeguards.
