MADISON, Wis. -- Madison police said a man was arrested on suspicion of battery in connection with an incident of "bike rage."
VIDEO: Watch The ReportPolice said a 51-year-old man biking along South Shore Drive last Wednesday evening when he told Dustin Dunlavy, 28, to put a light on his bike.Police said Dunlavy objected and a confrontation ensued. Investigators said the victim claimed that Dunlavy threw the man to the ground and kneed him in the ribs."This is one of the first cases where you have a bicyclist and bicyclist confronting one another in a sort of bike rage," said Joel DeSpain, spokesman for the Madison Police Department.Police said Dunlavy acknowledged the confrontation but said he never threw the alleged victim to the ground or kneed him.Police said members of the bike community tracked down Dunlavy after the alleged victim got a description of his bike.
