Chicago, IL -- (Sports Network) - The Chicago White Sox activated center fielder DeWayne Wise from the 15-day disabled list on Friday.

The activation comes at a good time for Chicago, which learned Friday that AL MVP candidate Carlos Quentin will miss at least two-to-three weeks with a fractured wrist.

Wise has been sidelined since August 21 with a strained left adductor. The 30- year-old has hit .288 with two homers and seven RBI in 35 games this season for the Sox.
