Fallen Cargo Causes Beltline Backup

MADISON, Wis. -- Traffic ground to a halt for about an hour on Monday during a major backup on the Beltline near John Nolen Drive.Madison police said that shortly after 11:45 a.m., an SUV swerved to avoid a piece of metal furniture on the Beltline.The SUV hit a van and the impact pushed the van into the guardrail and flipped the SUV.Authorities said that no serious injuries occurred.Stay tuned to WISC-TV and Channel 3000 for continuing coverage.
